Constructed of gilded brass, the obverse consisting of an oval disc, bearing a central German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, topped by an inscription of REICSHZOLLVERWALTUNG (REICH CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION), and situated above a plaque bearing a stamped identification number of 3168, perforated at cardinal points with dual eyelets for sew on attachment to an armband, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w)
